Application Process

All applicants must complete the official application form in its entirety before it can be considered by the Membership Committee.

Download the Application Form
Every application requires two endorsers. There are two ways to satisfy this requirement:

Option A - Standard
Proposer & Seconder
Two Voting Members of The Oakville Club who have been in good standing for at least the two consecutive years immediately prior to your application.

Option B - Alternative
Committee or Board Endorsement
If you are unable to find a Proposer and Seconder, two members of the Membership Committee, the Board, or a combination thereof may interview you and provide the endorsement. Please contact us before submitting your application if you wish to proceed this way.
Each applicant (Primary and Secondary) must submit two letters of reference from individuals who can speak to their character, conduct, and fit within the Club community. References may be from a current or previous private club, an employer, or a friend. Letters must be submitted together with your completed application.

Each reference letter should include:
  • The reference’s name, relationship to you, and how long they have known you
  • A clear endorsement of your membership application
  • Comments on your character, conduct, and compatibility with the Club community, including integrity, respect for others, and participation in social or community activities
  • A polite, professional, and concise tone (ideally no longer than one page)
Submit your completed application form together with your reference letters to [email protected]. Please allow up to six weeks from receipt for the full onboarding process.

Your submission must include:
  • Completed application form
  • Proposer and Seconder details (Option A) or confirmation of Option B path
  • Two letters of reference per applicant (Primary and Secondary)
The Membership Committee will review your application and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors.
Final approval rests solely with the Board of Directors, which may accept or decline an application at its discretion. Once approved, you will be notified by email, issued an invoice, and invited to a New Member Orientation - where you will receive your Welcome Package, fob, and parking stickers.

Confidentiality notice
All application materials, interviews, and disclosures are confidential and reviewed solely by the Membership Committee. Admission to membership is at the discretion of The Oakville Club and in accordance with its By-Law.
